Tragic Turn for Emily Willis: Shocking $3 Million Settlement Revealed

Tragic Turn for Emily Willis: Shocking $3 Million Settlement Revealed

Former adult star Emily Willis has been awarded a $3 million settlement after being left with life-changing brain damage following a medical emergency at a rehab center. As previously reported , the 27-year-old's family brought the case against Summit Malibu rehabilitation center after she was found unconscious, suffering a cardiac arrest and " irreversible brain damage " in the 2024 incident, leaving her "permanently disabled". She had checked into the center seeking treatment for anorexia and weighing 100 pounds, with her lawyer, James A. Morris, Jr, clarifying that she had not sought help from the treatment center for ketamine use as she had stopped using the drug prior to entering the facility. Willis was found unresponsive in the facility in February 2024, with a lawsuit brought by her mother, Yesenia Cooper, stating that a nurse had performed CPR on her for three minutes until paramedics arrived, and they were able to get a pulse after 30-40 minutes. Willis pictured in 2023. Credit: Unique Nicole/Getty Images. How long Willis had been unconscious before she was found was not stated, with Morris adding that Willis had suffered an anoxic brain injury, which led to her being left disabled and paralyzed due to oxygen deprivation. Now, the case has reportedly reached a settlement with a Los Angeles judge finding that Willis is "no longer capable of managing her own affairs", per the Daily Star . According to court filings, the former adult entertainer can no longer move her body, and only occasionally opens her eyes or grunts, and can not consistently respond to those around her. Morris told the outlet that Willis likely has "locked in syndrome", meaning she can not move or communicate but remains mentally aware. The settlement was approved by Santa Monica Superior Court Judge Susan Bryant-Deason resolving the claim brought by Willis's mother, with judicial approval required due to Willis's condition, per the Independent . The case was finalized after Willis's legal team reduced their requested attorney fees from $1.2million to $1million. Emily Willis has been left permanently disabled after the medical emergency. Credit: Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images Morris said in a court declaration: "Having lived and breathed this case for nearly two years, I can state with confidence that Ms. Banuelos is significantly injured, but that this case was no slam dunk." He added that the cause of Willis's medical crisis remains unknown, as well as wether Summit Malibu could have prevented her injuries, describing her condition as "fragile" when she entered the treatment facility. The lawsuit had alleged that Summit Malibu failed to provide appropriate care, and that Willis was left with permanent physical and cognitive injuries from an anoxic brain injury. Summit Malibu denied any wrongdoing. The rehabilitation center had argued that Willis had repeatedly refused medical advice, declined prescribed medications, and ignored recommendations to attend a hospital or urgent care center. It added in court filings that staff had no legal authority to force her to seek outside medical treatment, and that there was no evidence that its employees had acted negligently, highlighting that Willis was regularly monitored throughout the day. Cooper's suit had alleged that her daughter's irreversible brain injury and lifelong disability was a result of the center's alleged negligence, abandonment and recklessness. The Shocking Truth About Colonoscopies: What You Need to Know Before Breakfast

The Shocking Truth About Colonoscopies: What You Need to Know Before Breakfast

Get ready for a butt load of ugly truth.A doctor is pulling back the curtain on what really happens when you’re under sedation during a colonoscopy — and it may change how you schedule the rest of your day.“I am about to ruin your post-colonoscopy brunch plans,” Dr. Leybelis Padilla, a gastroenterologist, warned in a recent TikTok.  Dr. Leybelis Padilla is a gastroenterologist and lifestyle medicine physician in California. @leybelismd / TikTokDuring the medical procedure, doctors insert a long, flexible tube with a tiny light and camera into the anus, guiding it through the rectum and up into the large intestine.Photographs or video images of the insides of these organs appear on a nearby monitor, letting doctors scan for irregularities like swollen, irritated tissue, bleeding, ulcers or signs of cancer. And then comes the part nobody talks about. “Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but chances are, you’ll get poop on you during a colonoscopy,” Padilla said. And yes, that’s even when you do the prep the right way. Colonoscopies serve as a crucial tool for detecting and preventing colorectal cancer. In the days leading up to the procedure, patients are typically told to eat a low-fiber diet, then switch to clear liquids on the final day.The afternoon before, you take a strong laxative pill or drink to purge your bowels — theoretically pooping everything out so doctors have a clear view of the colon lining. But, as Padilla notes in the caption of her video, “the clean out is not as clean as you think.” “So when you get home after your colonoscopy, run to go get showered — do not go get food,” she said.Padilla clarified in the comments, saying patients “absolutely get wiped down with wipes and a towel.”“The nurses do a wonderful job. It’s not perfect; spots might be missed that are not visible to the eye,” she wrote. “For a good clean, please shower then eat.”Her warning comes as the trend of sharing meals after colonoscopies has taken off on social media, with many users posting themselves chowing down shortly after. “Between anesthesia, body positioning and what actually happens during the procedure, your body deserves a reset before pancakes,” Padilla wrote in her caption. @leybelismd I am about to ruin your post colonoscopy brunch plans If you had a colonoscopy You should shower before you eat Yes even if you feel fine Yes even if the nurses cleaned you up Yes even if you are starving That clean out is not as clean as you think Between anesthesia Body positioning And what actually happens during the procedure Your body deserves a reset before pancakes So the real post colonoscopy order is Wake up Go home Shower Then eat Fight me in the comments if you disagree #colonoscopy #healthtok #gastroenterologist #preventivecare #physicianledcare ♬ original sound – leybelismd Across the country, more than 15 million colonoscopies are performed every year. People typically get their first as part of routine screening for colorectal cancer, which the American Cancer Society recommends most patients start doing at 45 and repeating every 10 years. It’s a crucial step, because colorectal cancer often shows no symptoms until it reaches advanced stages. The disease is rising fast among young people in the US, now the leading cause of cancer deaths in men under 50 and the second-leading cause for women in the same age group.During a colonoscopy, if a doctor finds any polyps — abnormal growths that can sometimes turn cancerous — they typically remove them and test them for cancer. That not only screens for the disease, but helps prevent possible cancer from developing or spreading. But people also get colonoscopies for other purposes. Often, it’s so doctors can investigate gastrointestinal issues like abdominal pain, chronic diarrhea, constipation or bleeding. In those cases, the procedure can help diagnose conditions like Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis and monitor their effects. And while most people report feeling ravenously hungry after the procedure — having skipped meals for at least a day — Padilla urges people to think with their brains, not their stomachs. “The real post-colonoscopy order is: Wake up, go home, shower, then eat,” she said. “Take it from me, your gastroenterologist.”

Professor's Astonished Reaction to Star Student's Secret Life

Professor's Astonished Reaction to Star Student's Secret Life

For years, adult film star Abella Danger successfully lived a double life. While working towards her place as one of the adult entertainment industry's biggest names, she was also studying philosophy at the University of Miami. Danger managed to keep her two lives so separate that none of her professors had any idea about how she made ends meet until a job offer forced her to confess to college officials. During a recent podcast appearance, Danger revealed how she treated her university studies with the same dedication as her professional career. She earned a reputation as a model student, describing herself as a "teacher's pet" who participated in discussions, completed assignments on time, and maintained an impressive academic record. Danger was the perfect student inside the classroom Thanks to her perfect grades and behaviour, her philosophy professor pulled her aside after class to offer her an exciting opportunity. He asked if she would like to become a department tutor to assist other students. Danger is one of the world's most famous porn stars. Credit: Ethan Miller / Getty Fearing that fellow students would eventually recognize her on campus, she felt a responsibility to be honest with her professor about how she funded her college lifestyle. Recalling the moment she told him, Danger said: "One day, my old professor... he was like, 'They want you to be a tutor, ’ I said, 'Okay, that's fine, but full disclosure... I used to do so-and-so, so like, you know, kids may recognize me and stuff.'" Danger's professor was so shocked he could only say two words When the professor asked for her industry name to understand the situation, she revealed her famous moniker. After hearing that his star student was actually one of the most lusted-after porn stars in the world , the stunned academic said just two simple words: "You're her?" Danger still uses her critical thinking skills in her career. Credit: Ethan Miller / Getty Danger also revealed that the professor was, completely unsurprisingly, astounded, and could not fathom that the grade A student flogged sexy snaps of herself and more online. She added: "He couldn't put the connection because at school I'm a different person in class." Explaining how she managed to keep the secret so well and study at the same time, Danger managed to separate her two lives almost entirely, because: "Abella is like my alter ego." While she successfully navigated her college years under the radar, Danger has since graduated, but puts her humanities degree to good use as an adult actress, becoming an influential and outspoken figure who calls out wrongdoing in the adult entertainment industry. Despite her risqué career, she often criticizes subscription platforms like OnlyFans , dubbing them as "minor leagues" compared to mainstream, studio-produced adult films. Yet, of all her encounters in the spotlight, it is the brief, shocked reaction of her college professor that remains one of her most memorable professional interactions. Trapped for Hours: The Bizarre Quest for a Fallen Mountain Dew

Trapped for Hours: The Bizarre Quest for a Fallen Mountain Dew

Dived into a mountain of doo all for a Mountain Dew. The whacko who had to be cut out of a porta-potty toilet bowl by Kansas City firefighters in a viral video had been trapped inside the john for eight hours after crawling into the waste holding tank to retrieve his fallen soda bottle. The man said he had gone fishing in the portable toilet for his fallen Mountain Dew when he somehow ended up fully inside the facility’s raw sewage tank, according to a representative for Patriot Portable Restrooms, which provided the porta-johns for a World Cup event. Patriot Portable Restrooms crews were performing a routine check of the facilities and knocked on each porta-potty to ensure all were empty for towing, company partner Chip Counterman said in a video statement on X. “All of a sudden, a head popped out of the toilet and he said, ‘I’m in here.'” X/Matt Van SwolWhen a unit was found locked, and the occupant refused to leave the porta-potty after a 10-minute warning, a worker flagged down a passing Kansas City police officer on a motorcycle. The officer demanded to know why the man had not left the porta-potty. The unidentified nut bizarrely explained, “he could not reach the door and couldn’t get out of the toilet,” according to Counterman. The worker and the cop pried the john’s door open and were stunned to find it completely empty. “They looked inside and didn’t see anybody. The lid was closed. No one was in the restroom. It kind of startled them,” Counterman said. “All of a sudden, a head popped out of the toilet and he said, ‘I’m in here.'” A man spent eight hours in a porta-potty tank retrieving a Mountain Dew bottle on Tuesday. X/Matt Van SwolThe pair called the fire department, which used handheld saws to cut the porta-potty hostage out of the plastic toilet tank and then hosed him down with water from its fire truck. The man told first responders he had been trying to retrieve a Mountain Dew bottle he had dropped inside the waste tank the night before, Counterman said. If true, that would mean the nutjob was in the porta-potty tank for eight hours before he was liberated from the crappy situation.

Did Trump Find a Loophole? The Coin Controversy Raising Eyebrows

Did Trump Find a Loophole? The Coin Controversy Raising Eyebrows

After the US Commission of Fine Arts revealed a set of new $1 coins adorned with Donald Trump’s face to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary , people flocked to social media to debate whether the new tender breaks federal law. Allegedly, age-old laws state that living presidents are not allowed to feature on currency, but has Trump found a loophole? One X user referenced the Thayer Amendment , a 140-year-old law which prevents the use of any living person’s image on currency. The critic wrote: “Federal law strictly prohibits living individuals from being depicted on United States currency. "Established by the Thayer Amendment of 1866, this law mandates that portraits on U.S. notes, bonds, and securities only feature deceased persons.” The dollar coins feature a much younger-looking Trump. Credit: X/@SecScottBessent Has Trump actually broken the law? Another law which it appears Trump has broken is the 2005 Presidential $1 Coin Act , which laid out a list of rules to adhere to when creating $1 coins to pay tribute to past presidents. The act states: “No coin issued…may bear the image of a living former or current President, or of any deceased former President during the two-year period following the date of the death of that President.” In March, James Rickher, a retired lawyer, launched a legal challenge against the Trump coin based on his knowledge that legitimate currency should not feature a living president. However, the lawsuit collapsed just a few months later after the judge claimed Rickher couldn’t demonstrate that the coin would cause him any personal harm. Judge Karin J. Immergut declared that he could not rule on whether the coin broke federal law because the subject is too uncertain to allow a decision. This is because other rules state that if the dollar is commemorative and not intended to be spent, it is not considered breaking the law to put an image of a living president on a coin. Donald Trump is the first president in 100 years to put his face on a coin. Credit: Anna Moneymaker / Getty It is not the first time a living President has appeared on currency The U.S. Mint announced it will issue $1 coins featuring Trump’s face, which the administration claims is law-abiding under the 2020 Circulating Collectible Coin Redesign Act . The Treasury secretary has the authority to issue $1 coins “with designs emblematic of the U.S. semiquincentennial” for a year. However, the only other living president to appear on currency since the US began making its own legal tender in 1792 was Calvin Coolidge, who appeared on coins in 1926. Recently, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Fox News that the White House is well within its rights to make Trump Coins. He told host Jesse Watters: “As Treasury secretary, I only have two mandates: the currency has to say ‘In God We Trust’ somewhere on it and there cannot be an image of a living person. “During the 150th, there was a Calvin Coolidge coin, so we can put living people’s images on a coin.” Featured image credit: X/@SecScottBessent

Actor's Shocking Confession: The Real Story Behind His Controversial On-Screen Moment

Actor's Shocking Confession: The Real Story Behind His Controversial On-Screen Moment

An actor who carried out unsimulated sex scenes in one of the most controversial films of the 2000s has spoken out about his past actions. When it comes to flicks that you can catch in movie theaters, most intimate scenes shown usually involve body doubles or the actors themselves faking the act . But on very rare occasions, some films will want to explore the act by getting the actors to have sex , for real. And that's what Kieran O'Brien and Margo Stilley did in the 2004 film 9 Songs , which was written and directed by Michael Winterbottom. The pair had real sex on camera for the film, which has left viewers questioning why they agreed to it, years on. Their unsimulated scenes, which explicitly showed their romping sessions, were all 100 percent legitimate - and O'Brien has spoken out about it. Kieran O'Brien sex scenes in 9 Songs are still being spoken about today. Credit: Revolution Films Why did the actors agree to this? In 9 Songs, the actors played a young couple in an intense relationship which involved going to a lot of concerts, taking drugs, and getting it on between the sheets. Sex was one of the key parts of the story, so they had to get nude on camera and perform sexually for the benefit of the plot. This included oral sex, masturbation, ejaculation, and most other sex acts you can think of, with the film shocking film fans at the time, and to this day. In fact, O'Brien actually ejaculates in one scene, which many believed was a step too far, though the act made him the first and only established British actor to climax on screen for a UK title. But while some may have regrets, the actors would admit that they didn't care too much about what they showed. O'Brien speaks about controversial sex scenes The actor said that a fuss was being made about nothing, claiming he "doesn't believe" anyone who was offended by the film as it is "only sex." Speaking to The Telegraph in 2004, he explained that he viewed intimate scenes the same way he looked at everything else that was shot, claiming that he was surprised at "how ordinary and natural it was" for them. He said of his co-star: "I didn't fancy her - I felt protective towards her." Kieran O'Brien, Margo Stilley, and Michael Winterbottom, director and writer of 9 Songs. Credit: J. Vespa / Getty Were there regrets over the film? O'Brien told The Guardian in 2005 that he is "really proud" of the film, explaining: "Honestly, I don't know what all the fuss is about. It's a film about two people in a monogamous relationship, having sex as you'd kind of hope that everyone does. "It's the age-old cliché: if you don't want to be offended, don't see it." "But really, I can't believe that people will be offended. "I don't think anyone really was - they either didn't see it or they saw it and affected that reaction." He said that filming the title was "bizarre and incredible," admitting that he likely won't experience anything like that again. O'Brien recalled: "At some points, I would be taking direction from Michael standing naked with no mistaking where he could hang your towel, if you know what I mean. "Michael would be wondering where to put his eyes. A lot of it was very funny." Stilley also said in past interviews that she is "proud" of 9 Songs and the sex scenes that came with it. TV Networks Cut Away from Trump's Explosive Fraud Claims: What Happened?

TV Networks Cut Away from Trump's Explosive Fraud Claims: What Happened?

CBS News aired part of President Trump’s prime-time speech on election fraud Thursday night, joining in late and switching away as the commander-in-chief called for ABC and NBC to lose their licenses for not showing his remarks. Before tuning into Trump’s speech, CBS anchor Tony Dokoupil explained why the network was airing it: “Much of what the President has said on [security of American elections] has been false.”“There is an argument that it’s irresponsible to air the president’s speech tonight. But this speech will be made. It will be news. And it’s our job to cover the news,” Dokoupil said. President Trump speaks in the East Room of the White House on July 16, 2026. Saul Loeb/Pool AFP via APCBS ended its coverage about five minutes before Trump finished speaking, shortly after the president called on the other two broadcast networks to lose their government licenses for not airing his remarks at all.Dokoupil then began fact-checking Trump’s claims about Chinese interference in the 2020 election.News networks are not obligated to air the president’s remarks and executives typically make decisions based on the content of the speech. When Trump gave a primetime address in April on the war with Iran, all the networks carried it live.Still, the president and his staff were publicly angry at the news outlets that didn’t air Trump’s 25-minute speech on Thursday.Trump, in his remarks, claimed China worked with some American journalists to discredit him. He said ABC and NBC knew the topic he would speak on and didn’t “like” it.“They knew what it was about because of the fact that they don’t like the topic because they know how corrupt our system is, and they don’t want to reveal it,” he said.“They and others in the media are part of a plot. They want to continue this fraud for whatever reason. They want to keep it going. They want to protect the radical left,” he added. He demanded: “Fraud like this should mean a revocation of their licenses.”ABC and NBC carried the speech on their streaming platforms but did not air it live on their TV networks. White House communications director Steven Cheung blasted their decision.“Cowards. NBC and ABC don’t want you to hear the truth. All they want to do is hide the facts from YOU,” he wrote on X ahead of the president’s remarks. On the cable side, CNN did not air the speech live, but Fox News did. MS Now aired parts of Trump’s remarks. Cable networks do not have a broadcast license from the Federal Communications Commission, as the broadcast networks have. The FCC has the legal authority to revoke a broadcast license or deny its renewal but any such move would likely face a lengthy legal challenge from the networks.

Shocking Revelations from Bonnie Blue's Controversial Baby Shower

Shocking Revelations from Bonnie Blue's Controversial Baby Shower

An adult content creator who has slept with Bonnie Blue on more than one occasion and believes he could be the father of the baby that’s due any minute has revealed all of the most stomach-turning stunts that took place at her “ Golden Baby Shower ”. After being a “stunt cock” for his ex-girlfriend for a couple of years, Owain Laing, 35, began making his own content almost four years ago and hasn’t looked back since. Although he has done some “really f****** weird s***” throughout his new lucrative career, attending what could be his own baby’s celebration and urinating on its mother could be one of the strangest. The UK’s most famous and controversial content creator, real name Tia Billinger, claims she became pregnant after having unprotected sex with 400 men during her “breeding mission”, but she hosted an even more disgusting stunt for her baby shower. Owain, who attended the party traditionally held to celebrate the impending arrival of a new child, broke down exactly what happened at the sickening shindig in an interview with VT . Owain Laing was proud to have attended Bonnie Blue's baby shower. Credit: Instagram / Owain Laing The former mechanic explained that the event started off with making “rage-bait TikToks, then we did games so there was nappy pong, you put a ping pong ball into a nappy, and then we had to put the nappy on a stuffed bear.” Men drank shots of Bonnie Blue's urine Owain then explained that whoever lost the harmless games “had to drink some questionable yellow liquid” that Blue claimed was her own urine. Despite its somewhat innocent-sounding start, things turned seedy pretty quickly. Owain recalled : “We went upstairs, started off with a threesome, got cleaned up, then we drank loads of water, went into this room that looked like a murder scene sort of thing, with sheets on the floor, did some social media stuff, and then basically just pissed on her.” Around 112 men attended the horrifying event, but most people other than Owain wore balaclavas as they did not want their faces to be shown. Describing how the event was time-managed to allow everyone to urinate on the star who rose to international fame after allegedly having sex with over 1000 men in one day , Owain said: “It was basically like a shop, you just go in and then piss on her, and then go out, and then just change, change, change, like a mad housekeeper.” Owain and Meggie make content together and with other couples on their shared page. Credit: Instagram / @faveduoxo There were minor measures in place to protect the baby For obvious reasons, the event sparked a barrage of hate online, with most people concerned about the health and safety of the baby , as over 100 men urinating on its mother undoubtedly increases the risk of infection. Still, Owain assured VT that there were precautions in place - albeit slightly peculiar ones. According to the content creator who also films content with his partner, all the men were required to only urinate “below the neck, and obviously nowhere near her fanny or anything, because she's actually pregnant, so there is some sort of morals.” Bonnie Blue shared photos from her golden baby shower. Credit: Bonnie Blue/Instagram Because Owain also had sex with Blue in Bali in December 2025 , when she was infamously arrested under suspicion of violating Indonesia's strict anti-pornography laws after driving around the island in a vehicle marked "Bangbus", he is nervous that he could be the father of her already publicly pitied child. While Blue’s critics have labelled her a terrible mother before the child has even been born, Owain does not agree at all and claims that if his mother had followed the same career path “then I could just not work for the rest of my life, I'd be like, yeah, cheers, mum.” However, he does acknowledge that the child would face a tough time at school because, “yeah, they got p***** on as a kid.” Featured image credit: Instagram / Owain Laing

New Monkey Species Discovered: What's Hiding in the Congo Jungle?

New Monkey Species Discovered: What's Hiding in the Congo Jungle?

Researchers have discovered a new species of orange-lipped monkey in the Congo that utters unique roars and snorts. Daniel Rosengren/Frankfurt Zoological Society This wildlife news is bananas.Researchers were taken aback when they discovered a new species of black-furred monkey in Congo that sports distinctive orange lips and utters unique vocalizations. The findings were detailed in a study in the journal PLOS ONE.“It’s not very common these days to find a new, never-before-documented primate species, let alone a relatively large species of monkey,” Joshua Linder, an anthropologist and president of The Forest Collective, a nonprofit dedicated to rainforest conservation, Livescience reported.Researchers believed the monkey’s unique facial markings could serve as a visual signal, potentially even a device to attract mates. Daniel Rosengren/Frankfurt Zoological SocietyNamed “Likweli” by the local Balanga people, the tangerine-lipped simian was first spotted in 2008 by conservationists exploring the deep jungles of Lomami National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.Unfortunately, the photo was partially obscured, preventing them from identifying it.It was not until 10 years later that the mysterious monkey was caught on camera again, whereupon researchers realized they were potentially dealing with an entirely new species, Science reported. While the primate belongs to the genus Colobus, “the orange mask around the lips … and the way [the monkey’s] hair is spiky” are different from those of its brethren, according to Amboko, a Ph.D. student at Florida Atlantic University (FAU).To determine whether Likweli was a new species, he and his team embarked on a pilgrimage to find the elusive primate. From 2018 to 2022, the scientists observed the monkeys in their natural habitat, recording their behavior and calls and even showing pictures to members of 52 villages around the park.Junior Amboko (left), co-corresponding author, FAU doctoral student, and a National Geographic Explorer, and Mardoché B. Koko, co-author, are working in the field in the Lomami National Park. Florida Atlantic UniversityAlas, only eight villages were familiar with the animal, namely because they hunted it for food.Nonetheless, the researchers gleaned important insights into the rare critter, observing that it weighed about 15 pounds and roved the trees in groups of up to 20.Most unique were their physical traits, including their glossy black fur, white patch around the rump, and the aforementioned striking orange patch encircling the mouth and nose as if they had dipped their face in a bowl of Cheetos.Researchers hope the monkeys are classified as endangered. Martin Royele/Royele SafarisStudy co-author Kate Detwiler of Florida Atlantic University speculated that these unique facial markings were a form of identification or even used to attract a mate, the BBC reported.Unlike other Colobus monkeys, their calls comprised deep, loud roars and snorts.During the course of their excursion, the scientists acquired dead specimens that had been confiscated from hunters who were selling them to the illegal bushmeat industry. By extracting samples and sequencing the carcass’s DNA and then cross-referencing them with samples from the museum collections, the team was able to confirm that the monkey was a distinct species. The creature, which they named C. congoensis after the Congo Basin itself, marked just the fifth African monkey species to be discovered in the last 75 years.Coincidentally, their closest relatives were the black colobus (C. satanas), from which the primate diverged some 5 million years ago — the longest known split between members of the genus. “The discovery is reshaping our understanding of African monkey evolution,” said Detwiler. The scientists recommend that C. congoensis be classified as endangered, because it’s rare and resides in a small geographical range of around 650 miles.Ecologists fear the monkey is under threat from hunting and deforestation in the buffer zone around the national park.“It’s very exciting, but also very sobering to be finding a new species of primate when tropical forests are under so much stress right now,” says Thomas Gillespie, an ecologist at Emory University who was not involved with the study.

Celebrities You Won't Believe Had Real On-Screen Intimacy

When you're watching one of your favorite flicks and a steamy scene comes up, the truth is that it's almost always fake - like movies usually are. But on the rare occasion where it's not, actors may have to carry out the acts on screen for real , meaning that you may actually be watching the deed unfold. While many actors open up on how awkward fake sex scenes can be, a select few have spoken out about the realities of filming a real one . Normal films will employ intimacy coordinators, get make-up crews to construct modesty garments and more to make the scene believable, but other times, directors or actors may want the act to be real. The idea of unsimulated sex scenes has sparked debate over the years, but some big names in the industry have tried their hand at it for one reason or another. So here are six well-known celebrities who have ventured beyond the unknown and stripped for the cameras. Robert Pattinson Robert Pattinson is one of the biggest names in Hollywood who participated in an unsimulated sex scene. It was called Little Ashes, and in it, Pattinson played surrealist painter Salvador Dali. While speaking to Germany's Interview Magazine, he revealed that he had to self-pleasure on camera , admitting: "I played Salvador Dali and had to do a lot of scenes where I was naked, and I also had to masturbate. I mean really. “My orgasm face is recorded for eternity." He admitted that he couldn't fake it as "[it] just doesn't work," so he did what he needed to do. Aubrey Plaza The White Lotus actress has featured in an unsimulated sex scene before. In the scene, her character Brandy Klark has a moment of self-pleasure , and Plaza admitted to Conan O'Brien on his talk show that she was confused after seeing the direction in the script. Apparently, the script said "Brandy masturbates," and Plaza recalled: "In my head I envisioned a nice scene where you just see my hand slowly go out of frame. "I thought I was doing one thing and when I showed up it was a whole different thing, it was a full body shot and I asked the director 'what should I do' and she said 'masturbate like it says in the script'." There's a graphic scene in the movie which leads to the pair's characters having sex, and the act seen on screen is real. Dafoe explained why they didn't do it themselves at the time, saying: "Charlotte and I are both married and I’m not sure everybody would be cool with that." Chloë Sevigny and Vincent Gallo Chloe Sevigny and Vincent Gallo performed the unsimulated sex act. As part of it, Sevigny's character performed oral sex on Gallo, as Sevigny admitted that what happened was "very complicated." Speaking to Playboy in 2010, she said: "There are a lot of emotions. I'll probably have to go to therapy at some point. But I love Vincent. The film is tragic and beautiful, and I'm proud of it and my performance. "I'm sad that people think one way of the movie, but what can you do? I've done many explicit sex scenes, but I'm not that interested in doing any more. "I'm more self-aware now and wouldn't be able to be as free, so why even do it?" Kerry Fox and Mark Rylance Kerry Fox and Mark Rylance carried out an intimate act in the film fittingly named Intimacy. In fact Rylance said upon reflection, the movie was the "most difficult job" he'd ever taken, due to this scene. Speaking to The Guardian in 2016, he admitted: "I was convinced it was a vital story about the difficulties people face finding intimacy in a big city like London. "Hanif Kureishi's writing couldn't have been more intimate and revealing, but I found the making of the film and the subsequent publicity and personal attacks very, very painful. I wish I hadn't made it." His regret came from the "undue pressure" he felt from director Patrice Chéreau to do the scene, admitting that he didn't have the confidence at the time to say no. On the other hand, Fox didn't regret making the film. 'Nymphomaniac' body doubles The cast of Nymphomaniac. Louise Vesth, a producer of the film, told The Hollywood Reporter that while there was an odd unsimulated sex scene, body doubles carried the acts out. This was then digitally edited over the actors, who didn't do the acts on camera. "We shot the actors pretending to have sex and then had the body doubles, who really did have sex, and in post (production) we will digital-impose the two," she explained. The producer stated: "So above the waist it will be the star and then below the waist it will be the doubles." Whatever works, and all that. Featured image credit: Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images
