A former colleague of Jared Leto has opened up on what it's really like to work with the actor and musician. The Thirty Seconds to Mars singer has been accused of criminal sexual conduct by four women who say the incidents happened when they were teenagers. These revelations have come as part of the release of the new BBC documentary, Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret , which aired on Wednesday (July 29). 10 women were interviewed in total, as one alleged that the now-54-year-old actor assaulted her in a motel bathroom when she was 17. “I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life,” Leto has since said in a statement via his representatives to Variety , adding: “These claims are absolutely and categorically false.” But now, a former colleague of his has claimed Leto is "horrible" to work with. There’s no soul behind his eyes.” Following the release of the controversial documentary, the source alleged: “He was a horrible vibe while working with him and he made people uncomfortable. "It was really hard to talk to him, if he even tried to talk to us.” The source further claimed that Leto didn't make it easy for the crew members, having several requests. One of them included asking assistants to “hold open doors and his cape” for him, something that most people would do themselves. The insider alleged: “People who have known him for years have also said that he is very problematic with women, “Everyone in the music industry knows there was going to be a day of reckoning for him.” Ahead of the documentary's release, the BBC said that the women's claims were backed up by "friends and family who were told about the encounters with Leto at the time." They also stated that pictures and messages in some instances “support the women’s accounts.” Leto has denied all allegations made against him. One of the women accused the Oscar-winning actor of assaulting her in a motel bathroom when she was 17, while another claimed Leto threatened her with sexual assault when she was 19. A third woman claimed Leto had sex with her in California when she was also 17, despite the state's age of consent being 18, meaning it would be classified as statutory rape. The woman, who was named Clara in the doc, told the BBC : “He told me, 'I would like you to call me daddy'. And it was either pretend to be a little girl or 'my little girl.'" She said that an associate of Leto approached her backstage at a Thirty Seconds to Mars concert in 2006 and obtained her phone number on his behalf, before she went back to the actor's home and had sex with him while her friend waited in another room. Another claim alleges that the musician repeatedly made sexually explicit and suggestive phone calls to her when she was just 16, suggesting that they should have sex on at least one occasion.
