Usha Vance's New Arrival Sparks Joy: What Happened?

Vice President JD Vance and second lady Usha Vance welcomed their fourth child to the world Sunday morning.

Usha gave birth to a healthy baby boy whom the couple named Alec Neel, at Walter Reed Medical Center in Maryland, the vice president announced in a statement.

“We are excited to announce that our baby boy, Alec Neel Vance, was born this morning,” Vance wrote. “Usha and the baby are happy and healthy and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother.”

The proud parents announced they were expecting in January.

The vice president, 41, and Usha, 40, have been married since 2014. They have three other children, Ewan, 9; Vivek, 6; and Mirabel, 4.
