Rookie Cop's Brother Fatally Shot: Mystery Deepens in Manhattan Tragedy
A rookie police officer’s brother was fatally shot in the eye in Manhattan early Saturday morning, an NYPD spokesman said.
The 24-year-old man was found dead inside a home near Frederick Douglas Boulevard and Macombs Place with a gunshot wound to the right eye around 1:30 a.m., cops said.
Police are looking into whether his rookie brother accidentally shot him, cops said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity wasn’t immediately released.
The NYPD Force Investigation Division (FID), which probes police-involved shootings, is investigating.
